Lion Rock South Cape Bay

South Coast Track, Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, Tasmania, Australia

Lion Rock is located in South Cape Bay which is the most southern part of the Tasmanian mainland. The South Cape Bay walk is a 16km walk that takes 3-4 hours return from Cockle Creek. The walk itself is mostly flat, and features wooden boardwalk for the majority. The walk to South Cape Bay is part of the much more intense South Coast Track which is an 85-kilometre track that traverses remote wilderness within the Southwest National Park, part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Site.
