Lake Argyle is the second largest man-made fresh-water reservoir in Australia. To give an example of the size; Hong Kong would fit inside this. The entire catchment area of Lake Argyle is similar in size to The Netherlands or Denmark. I think what I’m trying to say is that it is quite large.
It is a beautiful spot regardless of being man-made or natural. I’m not here to be political – after cycling the Gibb River Road, swimming in the pristine water was beautiful.
